I don’t know about anyone else but there are few aromas that perk up the taste buds that bacon does.  I have seen alarm clocks you throw to make them shut up, project your star constellation on the ceiling, and even punch you in the face (or sit on your face if you own a pet). But this is some crazy-good idea. An alarm clock that makes you hunrgy, wakes you up and give you the chance to increase your cholestoral all in 5 minutes! I am buying two.

Ultimate Sloppy Joe List
posted by: Anthony in Recipies on 07 29th, 2008 | | No Comments »

Sometimes I just like to Google things. Well, yesterday I googled “Sloppy Joe” and off I went. Up came a site I have been to many times, and boy, did I get hungry for the slopps after reading.

You have to love sloppy joes! (if you don’t get out of my face).. they are basically smashed up BBQ sangwichs using groune beef instead of a piece of meat… and they arent really BBQ, but scrambled… OK, ok, they are the bastard sone of a meatball hero and a taco, I guess. But seriously, this messy monster of a samdwich is one of the tastiest you can make on a dollar budget. Sometimes I will put mine in a pita (maximum meat) or a pizza. Now thats some finger licking goodness.

If you have a sloppy joe recipe you would like to submit, send me a note, and I will be sure to post it, and make it on my own.. I will be avoiding any ingrediants that start out with “poisin” or borax”. I am good like that… take care!  (photo courtesy)

ECOFLAME Portable Grill
posted by: Anthony in Gadgets on 07 28th, 2008 | | No Comments »

The Ecoflame is a grill hot a BBQ. I wont even get into that discussion (yet). I’ve always wanted a small grill (non-gas) to try out my Lokkii , and I have always loved my burgers griddled better than grilled. There is something about the crusty char of a grittle that freaks my taste buds out. Not to mention I could stuff and cook them better on a grill… mmm, blue cheese, caramelized onions and BACON (of course)!

Lokkii Grilling Briquettes
posted by: Anthony in Gadgets on 07 28th, 2008 | | No Comments »

Has anyone ever used these? (I mean somewhere near me). I bought a few boxes of these Lokkii but I havn’t had a chance to try them out. Mainly because I don’t have a grill small enough to cook for one person (or two). Actually I dont own a grill at all. I live in a small apartment, so it dosnt work out well to own one. According to the site Lokkii burns cleaner and hotter than anything else briquette-wise. This is a serious claim that I am going to have to test out. First, I need to buy a tiny grill. Maybe one of the COBB’s or the small Weber? Well, either way, I need to light a fire. If anyone has a small grill and wants to give it a go, get in touch!

Aaron wins Next Food Network Star!

I wasn’t so sure about Aaron in the beginning – in fact, if I knew now what I thought in the beginning, I wouldn’t have thought any of the final 3 (usually 2…) would have been in the finals. Though as I watched, I started to cheer for Aaron and Lisa’s point of view started to warm up to me with her idea’s and charm. Adam did a lot better too, and I really liked the look of that chicken he made.

PipeSteak!

The PipeSteak is something I invented when I moved out of the house I grew up in (1992?).  The two things I really loved at the the time [burgers and cheese hotdogs] and I thought it would be some-kinda-thing if I combined the two… well – here we go!

Tiny Cheese Burgers (microBRGR)
posted by: Anthony in Recipies on 07 27th, 2008 | | No Comments »

I love the idea of small food – and big food. Medium sized food is boring, its just to normal. I have made gigantic burgers, and regular sized burger (patties) but I have never tried to make micro burgers. These are smaller than White Castle but maybe a little but larger than Huxtables. You can still eat 6 of them and feel good. Just remember to get buns that are the proper size or you will look foolish.

hotdog sangwich

That’s right – I said SANGWICH. A sandwich is more than just bread and meat. It’s a crazy big dinosaur of a thing with awesome bread, and other tasty bits. So, here is mine: Hotdog SanGwich!

I was at the supermarket today walking aimlessly trying to find something good to eat. I bought bread, and cheese, some more cheese… then I walked over to the deli, and that’s when it hit me…
