Do you like meatballs – or any type of balls? Well, now you can give those balls the great grilled flavor only charcoal (or propane and propane accessories) can give. Williams-Sonoma has what you need.  I’ll be getting one of these for sure. Check it out in all its ballsy glory after the jump.

Pizza cutter, meet circular saw…
posted by: Anthony in Gadgets on 02 4th, 2009 | | No Comments »

It was bound to happen. I only wish I had invented it. It makes so much sense, doesn’t it? Not that any real elbow grease is needed to cut a pizza, but this makes it into a spectacle waiting to go wrong!  I’ll take 2 (as usual).

QUOTE:

The Pizza Pro 3000 makes quick work of any crust, cheese, toppings and fingers that get in its way. It’s not actually a real working saw, but it is definitely masculine. Seriously, I would have to wear flannel and grow a beard just for pizza night. I have my fingers crossed for a chainsaw version from Fred next year.

This puppy will boil water in two minutes making it possible for you to consume caffeine power in no time, Ramen noddles (for your carb power) or hot cocoa , etc.

Steam, Smoke, Convection!

The the most awesome cooking methods combine moistness, flavor and speed – does anyone agree? A few years ago, I was looking to patent a cooker that was along the lines of a pressure/smoker. I am still working on it, (want to help?) and always thought it was a great idea. Now, the Orion Stainless Steel Convection Outdoor Cooker takes things a lot further by giving you indirect heat, steam, convection as well as smoke for what seems to be the ultimate backyard cooking gadget.

Well, look what we have here! To my surprise the WeinerRod was in Salem today. It was empty, but we did get some photos of it, including some with the BFC Girl, Melanie! Check out the Weinermobile in all it’s beefy glory after the jump, and of course Melanie’s red locks!

If there is one thing I love just as much as kitchen gadgets its wireless and electronic junk. So, while cruising my daily gadget blogs I found this post at Gizmodo: to echo their posting title, I think you will agree that these gadgets for those who cant (or wont, or hate to) cook are some of the best kitchen gadgets for pumping out quick eats and snacks. I especially love the aresol pancake batter and toaster bags. Though, I am eyeballing that portable microwave and cigarette lighter sandwich maker, too!  Check them out – full gallery after the break and, dont forget to check out the full blown at the Gizmodo link below!

Its the burger sensation that is sweeping the nation! Well, this is what Billy Mays (or is it Hays?) said on this infomercial I saw this weekend.

I don’t know about anyone reading, but I am just not into medium-sized food. Especially when it comes to hamburgers. I am that person who either wants the sliders from White Castle, or Uno’s, Chili’s, or something.. or I want to get a the heart attach at Fuddruckers. Medium sized burgers are boring and low class. If you want to stuff your face, do it all at once with a gigantic sandwich, or several dozen tiny ones – thats what I say!

When I saw this information I got very excited, as you can imagine. I thought, this makes sense! I just bought the slider press at Williams-Sonoma, and it was about $26! This thing costs $20 and it actually can cook the food for you. All you need is heat! (and some meat…)

Automatic Hot Dog Grill Roller
posted by: Anthony in Gadgets on 08 5th, 2008 | | No Comments »

Anyone who dosn’t enjoy a hotdog is unAmerican, and a weirdo. How could you not love the smokey beefage that is a tubesteak? The only questions really is, how do you cook them? You could steam or boil, broil, grill or use a rotissreie.  I love the rotisstier because the direct contact with the heat and stainless steel really sears and plumps up the hotdog. The problem with grilling is, the instense hear and uneven cooking (sometimes, depends how your father does it, hahaha) can split the hotdog and cause juice spillage. Ew…

I don’t know about anyone else but there are few aromas that perk up the taste buds that bacon does.  I have seen alarm clocks you throw to make them shut up, project your star constellation on the ceiling, and even punch you in the face (or sit on your face if you own a pet). But this is some crazy-good idea. An alarm clock that makes you hunrgy, wakes you up and give you the chance to increase your cholestoral all in 5 minutes! I am buying two.

ECOFLAME Portable Grill
posted by: Anthony in Gadgets on 07 28th, 2008 | | No Comments »

The Ecoflame is a grill hot a BBQ. I wont even get into that discussion (yet). I’ve always wanted a small grill (non-gas) to try out my Lokkii , and I have always loved my burgers griddled better than grilled. There is something about the crusty char of a grittle that freaks my taste buds out. Not to mention I could stuff and cook them better on a grill… mmm, blue cheese, caramelized onions and BACON (of course)!
