Grubdudes: THE BOOK.

Yeah, OK – I’m no chef. Hardly a cook. But I do have an appetite and I know what I like to eat – and I’m here to make you hungry.

That is my philosophy going into this new cookbook I am writing.  It JUST may CHANGE the way you look at, cook and EAT food.  I know, that’s a lot to say in one sentence, but I have been practicing with a writing instructor.    :) ~

Bacon Hell & Heaven at the Same time!
posted by: Anthony in Recipies on 02 12th, 2009 | | No Comments »

This is something just completely INSAIN. A BACON WEAVE! I wish I had thought of it.  I am sure going to TRY it though.  I don’t need to explain the Hell/Heaven part of this recipe.  Just go with it.  This is Bacon 2.0 here.  The only thing you could addto this is a full can of aresol cheese and you would be happy in heart attack land.

Hotdog Sandwich v.2.01
posted by: Anthony in Articles, News, Recipies on 09 6th, 2008 | | No Comments »

Yes indeed. Version 2.01 is alive and well… actually, its dead and in my steel-walled stomach at the moment. This was a Pearl Kuntry Klub parallel split and air fried in a convection toaster along with a toasted bakery onion roll (that would make it a version 2) and 5 pieces of imported white cheddar cheese (that would be the 2.01 part). all I can say is that this is something I will not forget for a long time!

Friday’s Wellness
posted by: Anthony in Articles, Events, Recipies on 08 1st, 2008 | | No Comments »

Every Friday the company I work for has something we call “Wellness”. This is when each department rotates on a monthly basis and buys breakfast for everyone. The budget is $40 for about 20 employees. It works out perfectly.

When I first started working for my company, I thought “Wellness” meant “healthy”…not so. I brought in all sorts of fruit and low fat stuff.. sure people ate it, but that’s not how I would feed a crew if it was all up to me, and I had free creative reign over the menu. Now, I go to the supermarket on Thursday nights and pick up, cheddar cheese, crackers, peppered salami, pepperoni, yogurt and granola (for those who don’t eat meat, or at least that early in the day) :) I also stop by Panera on that Friday and pick up bagels and some of the breakfast souffle’s, cream cheese and napkins – because I eat like a pig and need all the cleanup I can get.

Ultimate Sloppy Joe List
posted by: Anthony in Recipies on 07 29th, 2008 | | No Comments »

Sometimes I just like to Google things. Well, yesterday I googled “Sloppy Joe” and off I went. Up came a site I have been to many times, and boy, did I get hungry for the slopps after reading.

You have to love sloppy joes! (if you don’t get out of my face).. they are basically smashed up BBQ sangwichs using groune beef instead of a piece of meat… and they arent really BBQ, but scrambled… OK, ok, they are the bastard sone of a meatball hero and a taco, I guess. But seriously, this messy monster of a samdwich is one of the tastiest you can make on a dollar budget. Sometimes I will put mine in a pita (maximum meat) or a pizza. Now thats some finger licking goodness.

If you have a sloppy joe recipe you would like to submit, send me a note, and I will be sure to post it, and make it on my own.. I will be avoiding any ingrediants that start out with “poisin” or borax”. I am good like that… take care!  (photo courtesy)

PipeSteak!

The PipeSteak is something I invented when I moved out of the house I grew up in (1992?).  The two things I really loved at the the time [burgers and cheese hotdogs] and I thought it would be some-kinda-thing if I combined the two… well – here we go!

Tiny Cheese Burgers (microBRGR)
posted by: Anthony in Recipies on 07 27th, 2008 | | No Comments »

I love the idea of small food – and big food. Medium sized food is boring, its just to normal. I have made gigantic burgers, and regular sized burger (patties) but I have never tried to make micro burgers. These are smaller than White Castle but maybe a little but larger than Huxtables. You can still eat 6 of them and feel good. Just remember to get buns that are the proper size or you will look foolish.

Hotdog Sangwich

hotdog sangwich

That’s right – I said SANGWICH. A sandwich is more than just bread and meat. It’s a crazy big dinosaur of a thing with awesome bread, and other tasty bits. So, here is mine: Hotdog SanGwich!

I was at the supermarket today walking aimlessly trying to find something good to eat. I bought bread, and cheese, some more cheese… then I walked over to the deli, and that’s when it hit me…
